Summer shows, summer chairs

Come see a Galapagos show this week:

"Badger Meets the Fairies" at Winchester Library, Tuesday, July 23 at 3:30

"Badger Meets the Fairies" in Stanley Park, Westfield, MA, July 26th at 10:00 am

and a collaboration with Jacek Zuzanski of DreamTales Puppets , a wonderful puppeteer and director -- I'll make the voices for Jack, the Giant, Giant's wife and other silly characters in "Jack and the Beanstalk" at the Boylston Public Library on July 27th at 11:30 am.

Chairs? Come see "Chairful Where You Sit," Arlington's public art exhibit. My daughter Frances and her friends and I made a "Magnolia Park Bench" complete with swings, a slide, a community garden, and worried parents.
Come see our bench at Mass. Ave and Pleasant St., from July 21 to 28!

Honor the Year of the Snake -- Snow date show!

MONKEY AND THE MYSTERY OF THE SNAKE

Saturday, June 1 at 11 am
Arlington Center for the Arts

Someone keeps sneaking into the Banquet Hall and gobbling up decorations meant to honor the Year of the Snake. Could it be the mysterious Snake King? Or a cranky monkey who wishes the banquet were in his honor?

We missed the chance to welcome the Year of the Snake because of a big snowstorm in February. Come honor it now with Margaret Moody of Galapagos Puppets! Stay after the show for oolong tea and puppet-play.

Please note the NEW TIME for this show: 11 am

For directions: www.acarts.org/directions.php

Hope to see you there!

Margaret

Visit "The Kingdom of Riddles" with Sparky's Puppets on April 6

"The Kingdom of Riddles" by Sparky's Puppets
Saturday, April 6 at 2 pm
Arlington Center for the Arts theater
41 Foster Street, Arlington

Join the fun as Sparky’s Puppets perform “The Kingdom of Riddles” at the Arlington Center for the Arts. In this show, a king asks a knight to capture a unicorn for his queen.   In his quest, the knight will need the audience to help solve riddles posed by those he meets along the way --- a jester, a witch and a dragon.

Sparky Davis has been dramatizing favorite children’s stories for schools, libraries and festivals throughout New England for over 30 years.  Each of her shows features colorful hand puppets, lively humor and plenty of audience participation.

Come laugh with "The Kingdom of Riddles"; stay to enjoy puppet-making and some lemonade!

Tickets $6 at the door, cash only
May be reserved by e-mailing Margaret at galapagospuppets@gmail.com or calling 781-643-1228.
